Adventures in Spring Cleaning - Tackling the Dogs
Our dogs have this amazing ability to know when something is up. And they know it is not a W-A-L-K.
It's time to Spring-Clean the Dogs!!
First off, we have to catch the dogs. I usually start with our golden retriever cross. He is definately a "cross." Even his eyes don't match. One is brown and the other is half blue, half white. He can see OK. That is simply how he came from the pound.
There is nothing more pathetic than a couple of wet dogs in a bathtub LOL. Both dogs get a good wash with dog-shampoo and a double rinse. I have to keep the bathroom door closed, because if they get the chance, they are out of there!
You need plenty of old towels to catch the drips off a wet dog! Mine shake, roll, and shake some more. As soon as they are cut loose from the bathroom, they tear up and down the hallway and up and down the stairs. They've been "re-energized!"
Once the dogs have dried off a bit, I take a brush and get out all the tangles (they don't like this part, but they know something good always happens when it is done). "Who wants a treat?"
Happy adventures in Spring Cleaning! - Cindy
